250+ Visitors Today: A Big and Pleasant Surprise
Post viewed 470 times, 1 so far today
On the way to work this morning, I heard on the radio (WCBS) that a new list of safest cities was out today. The news interested me because it mentioned that St. Louis, MO, which just won the MLB title replaced, Camdan, NJ, as the most dangerous city in the nation. When I got into office, I checked the WCBS website and posted an entry "How Safe is Your City? Here’s the Best, Worst, and in Between" with the complete list from WCBS.
This afternoon, after I clicked my sitemeter button, I was surprised to find that I got more than 250 visitors today already and the number kept growing! Since I launched this Diary early last month, the average is about 60 visitors every day and 250 is just a unbelievable number. From the detailed information on Sitmeter, I found most of the visitors came to the above post. And where did they come from? From here!
Well, maybe I should do this kind of post a little more often :D.

The abbreviation for Missouri is MO. MI is the abbreviation for Michigan, Home of Detroit which once again finishes second to St. Louis. They are the number 2 most dangerous city in the U.S.
Thanks Andy for pointing it out. I have corrected it.
Actually, I have been to St. Louis once a couple of year ago and the city looked very nice. I don’t understand how it can be the most dangerous city. On the other hand, Camden, NJ, which was no. 1 two years in a row, doesn’t look good at all, at least compared to St. Louis.
There are definitely some BAD places in St Louis. The downtown has undergone a lot of revitalization, so from the Arch to Washington University is a great corridor, but just north of it starts to get really seedy.
East St Louis is actually probably worse, but they don’t include Illinois cities in the survey because of how Illinois reports rape statistics.
