In addition, they also have Kingston 1GB Data Traveler USB 2.0 Flash Drive [Buy.com affiliate link] for $5.95 after $40 mail-in-rebate, or you can get a Kingston 2GB U3 DataTraveler Smart USB 2.0 Flash Drive [Buy.com affiliate link] for $19.95 after $40 mail-in-rebate. I bought one 1GB and one 2GB flash drive last month when the Google discounts were still available and sold them later on Amazon.com for $20.90 and $30.95, making little profits. And rebates from Kingston are very reliable from my experience.
Elsewhere, Adorama (an online retailer I never used before) is selling Kingston 4GB Elite Pro Compact Flash Card for $14.95 after $50 rebate (expires January 31st, 2007). The shipping, however, will cost you another $5.00. This seems to be a good deal if you have a SLR digital camera.

I dig your idea of buying this stuff on sale and reselling it later on Amazon or eBay for a profit. When you did this before, did you have to wait a while for the prices to go back up? Because right now, it doesn’t look like you’d make any profit reselling these once you factored in Amazon’s or eBay’s commissions. It seems that every time I find a sweet sale on something and have the idea to stock up on it and resell it, the prices have already gone down elsewhere. I’d love to know if you’ve had a different experience.
For the stuff I bought and wanted to sell on Amazon (I only use Amazon), I listed them almost immediately when I received the product and so far haven’t had much trouble selling them. Since all those I sold had a mail-in rebate, so the actual price I paid is much less than the face price. For instance, the flash drive I said I sold for $30.95 on my site, I paid for $9.95 after rebate (though I haven’t received the rebate yet), and Amazon charged $4.22 for commission. Since buyer paid the shipping cost (the actual cost may be a little more or less than what buyer paid, but not far away), the profit I made from this is $30.95 - $4.22 - $9.95 about $16, not bad in this case. I usually buy stuff that cost less than $15 after rebate and also check price on Amazon to see if I buy it how much I can make. If the margin is too small, I won’t bother buying it.
