So How Did October Help Boost Our Net Worth?
As the closing bell sounded on Wall Street, the month of October came to an end, at least financially. How did we do this month?
Well, I don't have the exact number yet, but considering that the Dow kept setting new record highs this month (up from 11676 to 12080), we definitely got some help from the market. A quick glance of our brokerage account at Scottrade shows that our investments in stocks and ETFs had gained about $5400 in October and, again, most of gain came from a sigle stock, LFC, which was up from $78.14 per share at the close of September 29th, to $84.53 per share at today's close. The contribution from LFC alone is more than $3000 for the month of October.
There is a lot of work to do tonight, but I will be happy to stay late.
