Buy Quicken 2010 and Get Quicken WillMaker Free

Early this week, Intuit, maker of the best-selling tax preparation software TurboTax, released the 2010 version of Quicken, another popular product that helps users tracking their money and investments and making budget. According to Intuit, the latest version of Quicken comes with a long list of new and improved features such as:

Quicken 2010 Review

  • By showing how much you’ll have left in your account until your next paycheck, the new Quicken can help you avoid overdraft fees and penalties.
  • The new Quicken home page puts all your most important financial information in one place so that you can quickly and easily see how you’re doing.
  • With improved menu and toolbar, you can easily find the tools you need to help you organize your finances.
  • The improved account registers make it faster and easier to review your downloaded transactions so you can ensure your data is accurate and quickly identify suspected fraud.
  • You can get help from Quicken Live Community without ever leaving Quicken.

I have been using Quicken Home & Business to track my investments for years and am quite happy with the software. Though I don’t use it for other things (just tracking investments, not spending, and not budgeting), I am still considering upgrade to the latest version (my current version is 2008) because of the improvements mentioned above. In fact, Intuit is offering a little incentive to promote the new Quicken. From now till November 1, when you buy a qualified Quicken product, you can get a free copy of Quicken WillMaker ($20 value), $20 off the regular price plus free shipping (all products also available in downloadable version). Products included in this promotion are:

  • Quicken Deluxe ($59.99, Promotion price $39.99): Makes budgeting and organizing your personal finances easy;  avoid late fees and penalties, control spending, and reduce debt
  • Quicken Premier ($89.99, Promotion price $69.99): Makes budgeting and organizing your personal finances easy; Grow your net worth with help on maximizing your investment portfolio
  • Quicken Home & Business ($99.99, Promotion price $79.99): Easily organize and manage your personal and your home-based business finances, all in one place
  • Quicken Rental Property Manager ($149.99, Promotion price $129.99): Easily organize and manage your personal and rental property finances, all in one place

If you want to learn more about the latest Quicken products, there’s a short video from Intuit (go to the site if you can’t see the video) with highlights of each product.

Of course, if you don’t want to pay for the software, you can always use Quicken Online, which is free of charge for every one (see my Quicken Online review for details).

BTW, Quicken is running a Free Rent Twitter Sweepstakes starting today, October 15th, with $2,500 prize money up for grabs. Check out www.quickenfreerent.com for rules and how to participate.

what happened to the promotion? the link provided above takes you to intuit’s site – yet there’s no $20 promotion. Rather, intuit is charging full price. On your posting you said that the promotion is running until Nov 1st, but it’s not the case.
