2010 Quicken Deluxe Giveaway

QUICKEN 2010 DELUXE WINDOWS CD DIRECTAre you using Quicken to manage your money?

After Microsoft pulled the plug on MS Money in the summer, Intuit’s Quicken is left as the only PC based personal finance software that helps people track their spending and manage their investments (of course, Quicken also does other things such as budgeting), unless you want to use a web-based tool. I have been using Quicken Home & Business to manage our finance (actually, it’s more like tracking than managing) for years. My general feeling of the software is that it makes managing money easier, especially when you have dozens of bank accounts, credit cards, and investments like I do. However, since I mainly use Quicken to track investments, I am pretty sure that I missed lot of good functions & features the software has to offer. Now that Intuit has released its latest 2010 version of Quicken, the popular software has got even more powerful and user friendly (see 2010 Quicken highlights) with an array of new and improved features.

Last week, I had a post on Intuit’s ongoing promotion of a few Quicken products which will save you $20 if you purchase a qualified software before November 1st. It’s a nice deal if you want to purchase Quicken Deluxe because the discount is a third of the original price. Pretty good, right?

However, before you go ahead and buy the software, I have a better deal for you: Get a copy of 2010 Quicken Deluxe for free.

Intuit last week provided me two copies of 1020 Quicken Deluxe to let me run a giveaway to my readers. To enter, all you need to is leave a comment at this post with a valid email address before this Sunday, October 25th.

Quicken would be a great way to break from the Excel budget that I’ve created…I think this would be a substantial step up. Thanks for the opportunity to throw my name in the ring!

  21. Drew |  Oct 21, 2009 at 9:30 am

I have used MS money since 1995. I guess maybe it is time for an upgrade :)

  22. Drew |  Oct 21, 2009 at 11:20 am

Let me re-phrase my last comment .. I have been using MS money 1995 since 1995 … It still works and with XP app compatibility modes, I have had no issues – and no reason to upgrade.

  36. Dan |  Oct 22, 2009 at 1:44 pm

I have always liked Quicken, I would like to upgrade to take advantage of some of the new features. By the way, you have a small typo “Intuit last week provided me two copies of 1020 Quicken Deluxe” :-)

  37. Jonathan |  Oct 22, 2009 at 4:01 pm

I’ve been using Quicken (currently using 2008) off and on for a number of years. While I do most of my banking online, it’s very helpful for viewing all accounts all at once, as well as for generating cash flow and budget reports and projections.

  38. Heather S |  Oct 22, 2009 at 10:07 pm

What a lovely giveaway, enter me pretty please!

  39. Ken |  Oct 22, 2009 at 11:26 pm

  48. Adam |  Oct 23, 2009 at 3:37 pm

    Has anyone reviewed it?

  49. susan cheng |  Oct 23, 2009 at 4:03 pm

Hi, I could really use Quicken. Really really need it.

  50. David |  Oct 23, 2009 at 8:27 pm

Hey, that’s a great way to give them away! Count me in. Since I’d be a newbie with Quicken, I’d even promise to write a review (or several) and have you post them.

  51. Jerry Cowles |  Oct 23, 2009 at 9:29 pm

Any financial tracking tool used consistently is a vast improvement over what the majority of the population uses – which is nothing. Quicken 2010 is a great product and would be most welcome.

  52. Eric |  Oct 23, 2009 at 10:17 pm

I have MS Money on an older laptop and my new laptop doesn’t support the software – I haven’t upgraded MS Money since, well, not long after Y2K. Yeah, I know. In any case, it would help me out a lot to have a new financial software package to use.

  53. Lynn |  Oct 23, 2009 at 10:19 pm

My husband has our financial software on an older computer and the software isn’t even supported anymore. We’re too cheap to buy a new financial program, so getting one for free would fit our frugal, cheapskate lifestyle. Thanks for offering it up.

  54. Sesh |  Oct 24, 2009 at 12:52 am

I haven’t been tracking my investments or checking and my spouse is wanting to get control of our investments & build a baseline for our financial plan. I’d love to win a copy of Quicken 2010 to get started and reduce the amount of paper record filing.

  55. Michelle |  Oct 24, 2009 at 9:42 am

I love Quicken and would love to upgrade, but we’ve been unemployed or underemployed for well over a year now and can’t afford it. Hope the saints hear my prayer!

  56. t0p1k |  Oct 24, 2009 at 12:02 pm

thanks for this opportunity, I was actually looking for a software to better manage one of my club’s money as well as my own. you the man.

  57. Craig G |  Oct 24, 2009 at 11:49 pm

Would love to make the upgrade — thanks for the offer! Craig

  58. Steve Bresler |  Oct 25, 2009 at 1:23 pm

Wow!! A free copy of Quicken Deluxe. That would be GREAT!!

  59. linda |  Oct 25, 2009 at 2:56 pm

  60. Jeff |  Oct 25, 2009 at 9:11 pm
