$10 off $30 Promotion Extended and How to Get a 1GB Flash Drive for 95 Cents
Got an email from Buy.com yesterday, saying that the $10 off with an order of $30 or more and Google Checkout has been extended till November 6th.
If you don't hate mail-in-rebate, you may find some good deals. For example, GolbGuru said the other day that he bought two 1GB flash drive for $15 a piece, which was pretty good (yes, only PRETTY good). But how about getting one for 95 cents?
Here's the 1GB flash drive I'm talking about. List price $30.95, price after rebate $15.95, price after Google Checkout $5.95. If you register your Citi card with Google Checkout, you can get another $5 statement credit from Citi. All these combined together will make the cost of a 1GB flash drive at only 95 cents!
There are, however, some conflict information about Citi card and Google Checkout there. On Google Checkout registration page, it says
Get $5 or 5 Dividend Dollars or 1000 ThankYouSM Points if you sign up below and make a purchase by October 15th, 2006.
But, if you click the terms of that promotion on the same page, you will see the following
To receive your reward, you must complete the following steps:
- Enroll your Citibank card in Google Checkout no later than December 31, 2006, using the enrollment page that featured the link to these rules, and
- Complete at least one purchase with your Citibank card using Google Checkout no later than December 31, 2006.
So it may be a good idea to make a copy of the terms just in case.

It happens to me always.
I buy something and the next instant someone comes out with a cheaper way to get it.
On the other hand, rebates never worked for me. My success rate with rebates may be something like 25%. So I try to stay away from them.
I totally missed on the $5 for registering your Citicard. Ironically, I made a purchase with a Citi rewards card, but didn’t go through that link you gave above.
Thanks for the info, I will use it for the next bling.
