Get 3-Month Amazon Prime for Free
Usually, you can get Amazon Prime for free in the one-month trail period, which is a pretty good deal during the holiday shopping season as Amazon Prime will give free shipping on any order, regardless the total amount of the purchase. Now you can get Amazon Prime membership for free for 3 months. Here’s how to get the 3-month trial:
Go to Amazon.com and find an item that’s eligible for free 2-day shipping which requires Amazon Prime membership, such as this Storybook Workshop Wii game I ordered a couple of days ago. Make sure you see this button on the right side of the product page;- Click the “Add to Cart with FREE Two-Day Shipping” button and add the item to your shopping cart;
- Click “Proceed to Checkout”;
- Next after confirming your order and providing payment method, but before submitting your order, you will be asked to confirm your 3-month free trial of Amazon Prime, as shown in the screenshot below. Confirm by clicking “Start my free trial”;
- On the next Order Summary page, you will see that you are now on free trail of Amazon Prime and your order will be shipped with FREE Two-Day Shipping. Amazon will also send you an email confirmation of your trail after clicking the “Start my free trial” button in last step;
Now you need to go to Amazon homepage and find “Your Account” on top-right corner. In “Your Account”, find and click “Manage Prime Membership” under “More Order Actions”;- Click “Do not upgrade” so you won’t be charged with $79 annual membership fee after the 3-month free trail period. You need to click the “Turn-off aut-upgrade” button in the new pop-up window after clicking “Do not upgrade”. You will see a message in your Membership Information that “Your membership is set to not upgrade automatically”.
Now you can enjoy free 2-day shipping for three months

I just did this, and I only got a 1 month free trial.
Really? That’s weird. Did you just finish any free trail of the Prime? I got a 3-month trail without any issue.
No, I’ve never had a free trial of anything.
I wonder if Amazon’s computers have some way of selecting customers who would most likely make Amazon’s investment of a 3-month free Prime membership pay off? I’m a regular Amazon buyer, but my purchases are at least 95% used books from the Marketplace. Amazon’s computers may be smart enough to know I would never buy a prime membership, given that I almost never buy new books from them.
