Worried about the safty of your identity? Then pick up a desktop shredder at your local Staples store for free after rebate. Features of the shredder
include:
- 4-sheet, light duty, up to 25 uses/day
- Shreds 4 sheets folded at a time or 1 credit card at a time
- 1.37 gallon bin
- 3 position Child Resistant switch: Auto/Off/Reverse
It won't solve your problem if you have 100 pages to shred every day, but it's free and my past experience with Staples is positive as their rebates (which can be submitted online) are very reliable.
According to Dealsea.com, the deal is for in-store only ($10 for ordering online) and will expire tomorrow, October 31st.

This model may be better than the one I purchased, but my “light-duty” shredder could only operate continuously for two minutes and then had to rest for four. So I effectively paid money for the shredder basket.
I would either pay for a medium to heavy duty shredder, or find an organization (like my credit union) that offers periodic Shred-It days, and just take your papers there then.
It’s true that a light duty shredder like this may not be very effective and I doubt it’ll last long. But you never know and it’s free.
