E-Trade is offering a $25 bonus when opening a new Complete Savings Account with a minimum deposit of $1. Terms and conditions for the bonus money include:
$25 will be credited to your Complete Savings Account within 30 days of the account being funded with a minimum deposit of $1. Payments will be reported as interest income. Accounts must be opened by February 28, 2007 to quality for the $25 offer. Must be a new account opened with new funds. Offer applies to one new account per customer.
Currently, the Complete Savings Account is paying a 5.05% APY, the same as the interests rates from EmigrantDirect and HSBC (HSBC has a promotion rate of 6.00% APY till April 30, 2007). Therefore, the deal is not very appealing, except the bonus money.
Update: This offer has expired. Find out more on bank interest rates at Best Online Savings & Checking Accounts Interest Rates. Also be sure to check out currently available referral and signup bonuses.
