Another $14 Free Money: What’s Not to Love MIR
Two Symantec Visa debit cards, one $40 and one $20, arrived last night. They are the rebates from my purchase of Norton Ghost last December. Together with another $40 debit card received three weeks ago for the purchase of Norton AntiVirus 2007, the total rebates are $100 while the actual cost of the two software is $77.15. In the end, I not only get the software for free, but make nearly $23!
If there are deals like this which can actually make me some money, what’s not to love MIR (mail-in-rebate)? Among the dozens of items I bought (and some were sold), the following are my best deals that I keep for my personal use:
- Canon PC160 Personal Copier, $5 after MIR
- Epson R340 Stylus photo printer, $9.99 after MIR
- Samsung ML-2010 Laser Printer, $39.99 after MIR
