A quick post on a couple of new bank account bonuses.
Bank of America is offering a $50 bonus when opening a new MyAccess Checking Account with promotion code GROUP50 and a minimum initial deposit of $25. According to the offer page, there’s no monthly fee for MyAccess Checking Account opened with the above promo code. The bonus will be created within 50 days after the account is opened and funded. Offer expires on December 31, 2009. Use this like to open an account and get the bonus. In addition, BofA also gives $50 bonus for every new business checking account with an average minimum balance of $125 for the first 60 days and one check card purchase. Use this like and promo code SBEOFA1 to open an account and receive the bonus. BTW, I have my only checking account with BofA for years and I am generally happy with it.
Capital One is also offering $50 sign up bonus for its Online Savings Account (currently at 2.01% APY for $10,000 or more, more savings account rates). To get the bonus, the account should be opened and funded with $10,000 before April 15, 2009. I used the account for a while last year (check out my Capital One Online Savings Account review), but left after getting an account at Dollar Savings Direct. The Online Saving Account has no minimum balance requirement (a lower yield if balance below $10,o00 though) and no monthly account fee. If you are interested, use this link and promo code OFFER50 to open an account.
I also have a post on available bonuses from other banks.
What if I already have a myaccess checking with BOA. Can I open a second account and receive the $50 bonus?
Thanks
This is a good one, I wish B of A had been offering it when I was setting up my accounts. I went to Chase instead who at the time was offering $100, and the offer is now $200 with a $500 minimum – good thru April 22 2009. This is a false advertsiing. I opened an account in early July 09, and after a couple of months did not see the promised $75 plus $25 for 1st direct debit in my account.
I was told, after only being able to talk to “certain’ reps that there is a waiting period of 3 months.
3 months past and still no deposit.
I was then told it takes 30 days to process. And you guessed correct, 30 days have past and the $100 has still not been posted to my account.
Another banking scam.
