One month ago I got an email from TechNewsletter.com with a promotion which promised $5 gift certificate to download a software from ScriptLogic. I wasn't so sure whether I could actually get the free money or not as the offer seemed to have some quite strict rules, but I downloaded the software anyway. Guess what? An email came today from GiftCertificates.com with a $5 SuperCertificate which itself can be redeemed "for original gift certificates from hundreds of popular stores, airlines, hotels, theaters, restaurants and more."
$5 is not significant, but free is free and I love free money.

Hello,
Thanks for downloading Image Center.
If you get an email indicating that you will get free money for downloading the product, you will.
Just don’t spend it all in one place.

(by the way, it says I’m not using Firefox and that your page is best displayed using Firefox… well, I am. Darn straight.)
Oh, by the way, just to clarify, the email must come from our marketing department in order to get the free money.
Not just email from any old joe promising free money.
