I’m in a horrible position. I have been trying to work with my lender for 10 months to renegotiate the loan and all they can do is give me 3 months to bringing my house payment down from 2900 to 1800 and then we would revisit my situation at that time. This would mean that the diff would be added to the principle. My loan was a 5 years fixed low interest and will go to an arm next sept. I’m living paycheck to paycheck. I’ve begun the bankruptcy process but it’s not filed yet. Your book says last resort. I want the home but I can’t afford it. God please answer me. What do i do. My husband and i would have to uproot our kids and i don’t even know where we would go or how the bankruptcy would affect our qualifying for a rental. Please answer me Suzi. Thanks Barb.
