In late Dec Vanguard filed paperwork to offer a new "international ex-USA", so there will be another international ETF choice. This one will include Canada, which is typically left out of international funds (and it will give people a choice for a single international ETF).And in Jan Vanguard filed paperwork to offer some new bond fund ETFs, including one that will mirror the Total Bond index fund.Word is both of these should be available sometime in the first part of the year, pending SEC approval. And Vanguard ETFs should also deliver solid returns, despite their short history. It's hard to imagine that they do so well with mutual funds, but would do poorly with ETFs.
