I have HSBC as well, but it's mainly for T-bill purchases when the rates were attractive (not now though). I don't like CDs because the yields are usually no better than online banks and they are not as flexible. Nationwide Bank now offers a Money Market account with a 4.85% APY. This is one of the highest rates I've seen out there.
