Money articles I like:
- Saving Explained has 7 tips to keep you motivation no savings on track. It’s always easy to get started. What’s difficult is doing it day after day, year after year.
- Online Savings Blogs posted 11 online banking features you want to have. When I choose an online bank, no feature is attractive if the rate is not competitive.
- Savvy Saver said she was caught by the Patriot Act due to some large transactions. FNBO once asked me to provide employment information also in the name of Patriot Act.
- The Div Guy shares his experience on how to get started with DRIP programs. With brokerages such as Zecco* which charges $0 commission and offers free dividend reinvestment, DRIP’s value is decreasing, though I use it myself.
- Blogging Away Debt has a guest post on why 0% balance transfers are baits and lists three traps: 1) Fees: Didn’t they tell me up front how much I would for the transfer? Why is that a trap? 2) Interest rate after promotion: If I get a new card for BT only, why would I care whatever interest rate afterwards? And is that rate particularly higher than normal rate? 3) They trust you to fail: Yeah, they can count on me on that.
