Around the PF Blogosphere: December 12, 2007

Interesting articles hope you will enjoy:

  • Brip Blap asked himself a question: Is college worth it? This is a topic that has been discussed quite often. Though there are many very successful people with no college degree, I still feel a higher education can lead to a better life.
  • Moolanomy shared investing mistakes he has made and the first is “Not investing soon enough.” If one doesn’t know what to invest, the simplest solution is buying a broad index fund, but investing has to start as early as possible.
  • My Money Blog talked about what they are saving for and thire retirement plan. Somehow, I never clearly defined my goal (not in the form of $$$$$ by YYYY year because that’s likely to be a moving target), except that I want my money to grow as much as it can :)
  • Moneymonk wondered how she can know when she’s successful. Well, I will know I am successful when I am successful ;)
  • My Two Dollar said he is happy to save $7 on his electric bill. Small amount that can almost be neglected, right? It is small, but that’s definitely not the only $7 we can save around our house.

Thanks for the mention! I guess I would argue that a ‘better life’ is different for everyone. Just because you don’t attend college doesn’t mean you can’t be educated, or enjoy a rich social life, etc. – just as attending college doesn’t ensure you will have those things.

In any case, it’s always an interesting discussion…
