		<description>It&#039;s probably worth it to wait regardless since the penalty will hurt performance up front and 2010/2011 also lets you split the taxes associate with the conversion.  Of course you should do the math to weigh your options.</description>

I&#039;m in a similar situation, so I&#039;d be curious to hear your opinion.  I haven&#039;t gone as far to get start a traditional IRA, so I&#039;d have no problem now.  However, in the next couple of years, if we&#039;re ineligible for a Roth IRA, I might want to start a traditional IRA.</description>
