Discover Escape Card 25,000 Bonus Miles Promotion
Discover is offering a new travel rewards credit card, the Escape Card by Discover, with 25,000 bonus miles. The new Escape card has some very attractive features for people who not only travels a lot but also want to earn rewards faster. The card rewards card members with Double Miles for every dollar you charge on the card. That’s far better than what most travel rewards cards offer, which is usually 1 mile per dollar. To make the rewards even sweeter, there’s no limit on how many miles you can earn and the miles you accumulated never expire. In addition, the Escape card also provides cardholders an array of enhanced travel features, such as Primary Car Rental Insurance, Lost or Damaged Luggage Insurance, Travel Delay Insurance, and Trip Cancellation Insurance, etc. As far as how rewards miles can be spent is concerned, Escape card members have plenty of options to redeem their miles too, for travel, gift cards, or even cash:
- Travel Credits — Book any airline, any flight your want. Simply pay the flight and redeem travel credits with miles earned. You can redeem 10,000 Miles for a $100 travel credit.
- Gift Cards — You can also redeem for gift cards from 90+ Discover partners with as little as 1,000 miles.
- Cash — If you prefer, you can also request cash for your miles. 5,000 miles can be redeemed for a $25 account credit.
Right now, Discover is running a promotion which will give new card member up to 25,000 bonus miles over the first 25 months after the account is opened, 1,000 miles per month as long as you use the card at least once every month. The card also comes with a 12-month 0% APR balance transfer offer, but there’s a 3% fee of the amount transferred. With most online savings account interest rates in the sub-3% range, there isn’t much to do with the balance transfer unless you have high interest rate balances.
Looks good, right? Well, the offers from the new Escape card are indeed quite impressive, but they all come with a price: a $60 annual fee 
If you don’t care about the fee, then the Discover Escape Card may be for you. If, on the other hand, you don’t want a card with an annual fee, you can try the Miles Card by Discover and earn 12,000 bonus miles in 12 months.
