Since the FDIC limit was raised to 250k, I've gone over 100k at Corus. But I'm expecting the FDIC to come to my rescue. As of today, Corus 1-year CD is 4.00%, while GMAC is 4.25%. It looks like Corus has given up trying to raise money in small amounts from individuals like me, and is hoping for TARP money.

This stinks. Countrywide used to have good rates, BoA took over, and rates went in the tank. Less competition is worse for the consumer.
