The same thing happened to me. I got in a bad accident and it wasn't my fault but I still expected my insurance to go up. To my delight it didn't. I love it when something happens, you expect the worst and it leads to a happy ending.

Insurers don't always pull a new MVR every renewal period. Depending on your age and the company, they may pull one annually or only if you update your policy. Keep your fingers crossed.

My premium went down this year too, by a LOT. I used to pay $1244 every six months, but my renewal bill dropped to $702 when I got my renewal notice!!!

Of course I've had no incidents in the last 6 months, but I didn't have any drop off either. I'm with Progressive, by the way. I am shocked but very very pleased. :-)

My point is that maybe the ins companies are updating their pricing models or something...and PS I know I pay really high car insurance. Trust me, though, it's the cheapest I can get.
