WTDirect Promotion: Get up to $250 Bonus When Opening a New Account

WTDirect is running the sign-on bonus promotion again.

The bank had a similar promotion in the summer for its WTDirect Online Savings Account, but abruptly canceled the offer after only three days. The reason for the cancellation wasn’t exactly clear, but it could be because with the previous deal, you can actually profit from it and the interest rate of the savings account wan’t too bad back then (3.31% APY). This time, however, the offer isn’t as good as last one: not only the rate is lowered to just 3.06% APY, but also the limit to get a bonus is higher than before:

• Deposit and balance of $10,000: $50 bonus
• Deposit and balance of $20,000: $100 bonus
• Deposit and balance of $30,000: $150 bonus
• Deposit and balance of $40,000: $200 bonus
• Deposit and balance of $50,000 or more: $250 bonus

If you decide to take advantage of this offer, all you need to do is open a new account with this link and promotion code WTG3DNC (enter the code if it’s not in the application form). To get the bonus, you need to fund your new account before December 22nd. Since WTDirect takes only electronic fund transfer (ACH), you have to set up the external transfer before the deadline to get the bonus. Also, a minimum balance of $10,000 is required to earn the 3.06% APY at WTDirect. Once the account is opened and funded, the average account balance between January 1st and Feburary 28th, 2009, will be used to determine your bonus level. The bonus will then be credited in mid-March.
