WTDirect Terminates Promotion After Only Three Days
Hope you got it when it was there. If you didn’t, then it’s too late already.
Just received an email from WTDirect that it has terminated the promotion of up to $250 sign-on bonus immediately.
The promotion was wildly successful, more so than we could have forecasted. Unfortunately, we need to end the promotion early. Effective immediately, the Sign On Bonus is no longer valid.
My first reaction after reading the message was “This really sucks.” I don’t know exactly what they are doing. First they want to offer a seemingly generous bonus to attract new customers. Then, only after less three days including two weekends, they decided that’s too much and pulled the plug.
This whole promotion thing doesn’t feel right to me. If they can’t handle the demands, why offer that kind of bonus in the first place?
Anyway, if you signed up over the weekend, I think you will still get the promised bonus. Otherwise, stay away from this bank. There are plenty of banks offer better rate anyway.

I known why – too many current account holders contacted them and ask when we were getting our “bonus”.
