April 2007 Highlights
Post viewed 536 times, 4 so far today
In April, I posted 56 articles on this Diary. The number is slightly low than previous months due to busy schedules at work and home. At the end of the month, I feel it’s a good time to look back and see what has happened here at this Diary with a monthly Highlight post. With this summary, you don’t need to go through the archive to find out the mostly discussed posts of the past month.
In case you missed them, here they are:
1. How long will it take for you to triple your money and how to triple it?
With the right investment choices (invest in precious metal, real estate, and foreign markets), you can triple your money in just five years.
Real estate has been hot in the past several years. Adding real estate in your portfolio can be rewarding in the long term.
3. How are NetworthIQ’s numbers compared with the national average?
NetworthIQ is a popular online tool to track individual’s net worth. Interestingly, the trend covering different age groups agrees with the national statistics.
4. A comparison of lifecycle funds from Vanguard, Fidelity, and T. R. Price
Not every lifecycle funds are equal. When choosing a lifecycle fund, you have to look beyond the targe date and expenses and return.
5. Find out how much you should save for your retirement with a national savings rate guideline
You want to have adequate fund for your retirement while enjoying your current life. The guideline tells you how much you should save given your age and income.
6. Where I put our emergency money
I want to earn the highest possible returns with the money that we don’t have immediate need.
7. The hottest jobs in America
To find them, you will have to go south because that’s where the hottest jobs, and job markets, are located.
Finally, whether you are here for the first time or have been reading it for a while, I want to let you know that your suggestions/comments are always appreciated. Though there are sure different opinions between us on various issues, I think we can learn from each other through the process of discussion.
