Interesting personal finance articles you might like:

  • The Money Mythos posts an entry on the less obvious risks of Prosper.com. I am not really concerned about the risk the author mentioned (if I am in the P2P lending business), but the overall risk vs. reward of lending money to total strangers.
  • Money and Such discusses new 401(k) plans and features. My wife’s employer also offer Roth 401(k) plan, but I don’t see any significant benefit of this new plan, thus we didn’t use it.
  • Plus6 offer his opinion on buying nothing week/month/year, wondering whether such activity is only a short-term fixes or means to be a constructive exercises. I won’t restrict myself by the self-imposed rule. If I have nothing to buy, then I just don’t buy anything whether it is a day or a week.
  • Money Ning rewards a developer a Ridiculous Housing award for asking for $10,000 deposit without even having a model to show potential buyers. I wonder if any one will take the bait.
  • InvestorTrip discovers an easiest way to fund your IRA account every month: contributing to your retirement account as if you are paying your monthly dues.
