What did I read today?

  • Ka-Blog tells the story of shopping for credit card rewards. I use UPromise and am quite happy with it.
  • No Credit Needed talks about the philosophical reasons for not borrowing money. I can understand why people don’t want to borrow money, but never understand the reason against using credit cards.
  • My Financial Awareness is taking the fear out of paying for college and says “when put into perspective, college is still a great bargain.”
  • Tired of MSN Money or Quicken? Willster’s Financial Blog reports a free alternative: the Windows version of GnuCash. Got to give it a try though the installation is a little bit involved.
  • Money and Investing declares life is too short to drink bad tasting beer. What do you say?
  • Plonkee Money connects money and security and says his “money issues resolve around security.”
  • The Finance Buff missed his mark on guessing the fixed rate for I-bonds. Hmmmmm, have to reconsider my purchase.
