Check out This Week’s Carnival of Personal Finance

Trent at The Simple Dollar is hosting the 86th edition of Carnival of Personal Finance. Among the long list of submissions, I found the following entries (or the comments of the entry) quite entertaining:

  • Making The Financial Sacrifice To Get What You Want By My Two Dollars
  • 12 Simple Ways To Save Money On Utilities (And The Planet) By Five Cent Nickel
  • What Teaching Taught Me About Money: A Financial Lesson Plan By The Frugal Duchess
  • Why Long Term Care Insurance? By Hill’s Personal Finance
  • The Ultimate Guide To Filing Your Taxes Online For Free By Wallet Rehab
  • Retirement Planning: A Staged Approach By My Wealth Builder

and

  • You Cannot Use Credit Cards Responsibly By Getting Green (Hmmmmmm. Where’s the forth type of people who charge everything with credit cards, earn rewards in cashbacks, mileage, and points, make hundreds of dollars of free money by playing the 0% balance transfer game, yet are never late for a single payment? If that’s not using credit cards responsibly, then I don’t know what it is. And speaking of responsibility, if I can’t make sure my payment hit the card before the deadline, then I am not using my credit cards responsibly.)
