Too Much Rain and Weekend Linkage
By Sun
It’s raining, again.
Since moving to Virginia in September 2009, I don’t remember we had more rain in a month than we did in the past April. Every week since mid March, there were two or three rainy days. Sometime it rained the whole day non stop. To be fair, the weather here wasn’t as bad as other parts of the country and we didn’t get hit by any tornado, but the rain was just too much. Of course, with all the heavy rain, the lawn is much greener and healthy and my allergy is a lot better this year than before, but the kids didn’t enjoy the rain that much. We signed them up for a soccer class which started in the last week of March. The schedule has one practice and one game each week. Now one month into the season, they had only three practice sessions and one match. All the rest were rained out
And the whole season is just two and a half months long.

Not only it rained a lot this year, it’s also much colder than the same time last year (we only turned off the heat last weekend). The kids are probably going to be disappointed when the pool opens on Memorial Day.
