Weekend Linkage – May 31, 2009

It was a rare, gorgeous day yesterday, so we took the kids to a nearby farm to pick our own strawberry, the first time ever for us. Too bad that we didn’t know the hours of the farm before leaving home in the afternoon. When we arrived, we were told that we only had less than an hour. The kids were very excited when they were out on the field, though our older one doesn’t really like strawberry. When the farm was closed at 5:00 pm, the kids each had a small basket of strawberries that are still  half red, half green. But they were happy :)

What part of Jersey are you? Strawberry picking is something I need to take the family to do! I did it when I was young and it was a lot of fun. We’ve done apple picking before and we enjoyed that.

Thanks for reminding me of an adventure I can take the family on (and the mention too)!

Thanks for sharing my interview, glad you liked it. I really enjoyed this interview series; enough that I’m going to continue it. And Neal Frankle is an amazing person!

@FFB We went to Terhune Orchards in Princeton, not a very big farm, but the kids love to play there :) We should have done it before.

Ahh…a bit too far for us (we’re in Queens, NY). We do have some family out there so I’ll have to keep it in mind if we visit them. I’ll have to find a strawberry field closer. Thanks!
