The markets have gone through another roller coaster ride last week as subprime crisis deepened and other countries started to feel the pain of the fallout. Though the interventions from central banks eased investors’ nerve a little bit, the crisis is far from over. There are even predications that this could be the beginning of a recession.

Despite the huge selloff on Thursday, when all major indexes lost more than 2%, the past week came out as a winning week. For the week, the Dow gained 0.4%, the S&P rose 1.4%, and the NASDAQ added 1.3%.
